The #16 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks opened the season vs Mercer. JD Notae led the way with 30 points and was joined in double digits with Miami transfer Chris Lykes, 16 points, and Pittsburgh transfer Au’Diese Toney with 18 points.
Arkansas was down 8 points at the half, 36-28, but came out with solid defense and took the lead on a 3 pointer by Notae with 17:59 left. From there it went back and forth until the Hogs depth started to show with around 5 minutes left.
Mercer had 4 players in double digits led by Glisson III and Robertson with 12 points each.
Arkansas faces Gardner-Webb on Saturday at 2 pm.
